We are a small, young, growing, global, business to business manufacturing company (of high-performance membrane products), with big plans:
? Small means the Business Finance and Accounting Analyst (BF&AA) will be The Finance person, with relevant core knowledge and experience, to build an agile and fluid operating model that tactically tracks and manages company financials efficiently and within budget.
Hands-on, the BF&AA takes a systematic and multi-disciplinary approach to plan, budget forecast, and manage all aspects of the accounting and procurement operations, including payroll processing (resolving time and attendance etc.
) with our third-party partner.

Big plans means the ideal BF&AA must also lay the groundwork and have the vision, confidence, strategic skills, and technical savvy to take business finance to the next level - to build an intelligent agile organization with data analytic capability to extract insights and recommendations that guide business and finance plans and decisions of greater value to company stakeholders.
In this role, we are looking for someone with a business operator AND owner mindset, as the Business Finance and Accounting Analyst (BF&AA) has the opportunity to not only define and grow enhanced next generation finance practices and talent, but also, become a key finance leader/guide, in the process.
Leading by example and actions, continuously learning, and enhancing Finance (advancing tools, transforming analytics, enhancing reporting), the BF&AA will attract and inspire next generation finance talent, as Memstar grows.
In defining what next generation financial practices look like, theBusiness Finance and Accounting Analyst will collaborate with our recently hired Quality Statistical Data Analyst (QSDA), charged with deploying value driven quality data analytics infrastructure and capabilities that cangrowwith the company.
While the initial focus is on the manufacturing environment and quality data analysis; as part of continuous improvement, the QSDA is charged with expanding capability for more broader business and financially intelligent tracking and decision making (e.
g.
, generating savings by optimizing raw materials procurement and usage (timeline, costs, payments, with a supplier that meets quality standards)).
This role is as much about competency and discipline as it is about mindset and style.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee all accounts, ledgers and reporting systems, ensure compliance with appropriate accounting standards and regulatory requirements, maintain internal controls and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs and actual expenditures; Manage monthly, quarterly and year-end financial activities and over-sees all activity related to Federal tax compliance issues; Responsible for all administrative processes, including order entry, credit and collections, inventory management and fixed asset control; over-sees payroll and manages all aspect of procurement functions in the Company.
? Prepare accurate and complete balance sheet, general ledger, and financial reporting for the Company and Corporate.
? Conduct accurate and complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close.
? Protect Company assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
? Develop and monitor plant analytics, financial dashboards, plant KPIs and operational analysis, and to foster better Executive decision making.
? Guide financial decisions for the Executive team by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures.
Execute, manage, and streamline payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory and fixed asset control processes.
Analyze and implement an approach to automate, track, and analyze these activities.
? Develop and implement procurement/purchasing sourcing strategies, policies, procedures, and guidelines, including buying limits and directs purchasing programs for timely, cost effective (reduce procurement expenses) quality-controlled goods, raw materials, equipment, machinery, supplies and services.
? Search and qualify new reliable and alternative vendors or suppliers, including investigating vendor references and other related follow-up activities to provide goods at reasonable prices that can satisfy the requester's requirements; Monitor performance and capabilities of vendors to ensure maintenance of delivery, quality, and price commitments.
? Execute activities to manage the outflow of capital for the company, specifically paying only the company's bills and invoices that are legitimate and accurate, while ensuring transparency and integrity of the financial data.
? Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
? Ensure programs and procedures meet current state and federal regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS ? Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Accounting or Finance.
? 3
years of progressive accounting experience, preferably, in a manufacturing environment.
? Education and/or experience applying leading-edge data analytics (scientific frameworks/techniques and/or tools/technologies) to accounting and finance data sets to drive recommendations and inform business decisions.
? Though not required, consideration will be given to those that have completed or are working towards a professional accounting designation/certification:

PREFERRED SKILLSCOMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE ? Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
? Skilled in organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
? Strong manufacturing plant experience and involvement in plant reporting, cost accounting, inventory controls and plant analytics.

Advanced skills to generate, document, manipulate data and report using MS Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint for presentation purposes.

? Proficiency with accounting software and payroll management for small and medium businesses to handle end to end bookkeeping and accounting needs efficiently and with appropriate transparency:
- Tracking assets, liabilities, receivables, and payables; evaluate sales, cash flows, revenues, and other financial dynamics of a business.
- Invoicing (and customization of, expense management, reporting, cash-flow monitoring, and client management features; vendor tracking and billing.
- Auto-generating real-time important financial documents like balance sheets and income sheets, and cash flows.
? Proficiency with accounting software to drive automation and real-time decision making:
- Of some of the most routine accounting chores like accounts reconciliation, ledger management, and transaction matching.
- Utilizing artificial intelligence to self-learn, track invoices, costs, and sales without the need for human intervention (e.
