6 Quick Apply Full-time 9 hours ago Full Job Description SUMMARY Geosynthetic Installation & Construction company looking for a Project Estimator to prepare cost estimates for landfill liner installation projects.
This includes but is not limited to the execution and tracking of project costs and materials for pre-construction projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform precise quantity take-off of geosynthetics materials.
Prepare Project Estimates, including material selection, field man-hour estimate, and estimation of other project related costs.
Enter estimate information as a Proposal into the company proposal tracking system.
Research alternatives for cost engineering or cost savings.
Assist with the gathering of market pricing information and participate in the Proposal pricing process with Sales and Management.
Prepare Budget Input Form, from the final estimate, for contracted projects, for input into the Job Cost System.
Prepare bill of materials for material order.
Generally, prepares estimates and related activities for projects of a more complex nature.
Communicate and interface with Owners, Owner's Representatives, Engineers, General Construction Contractors, co-workers, and other company departments as required.
Prepare field project manual for Field Supervisors.
May be required to attend Pre-Bid and Pre-Construction meetings.
May be required to run a project on a limited basis.
May be assigned to supervise, assist, or review the work of lower-level personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS Working knowledge of computer software Microsoft Office, AutoCad, etc.
is required.
Must be able to read and interpret Project Drawings and Specifications.
Working knowledge of all types of construction proposals, contracting terms and conditions, and projection of Job Cost and Revenue, is required.
Knowledge of geosynthetics desirable.
Knowledge of Fixed Price Civil Estimating Principals is highly desirable.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited school of Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or comparable Engineering discipline degree is desirable.
Past experience in the fields of Construction, Project Controls, or other applicable Civil Engineering Construction positions.
