An employer in Houston, TX is looking to hire a Radiologic Tech for a direct hire opening! The responsibilities will include:
- Performs radiography (x-ray) exams on patients ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures- Prepares patients for exam, obtains and records patients vital signs, explains procedure, administers IV and contrast when necessary, positions patients for theexam, selects appropriate imaging techniques, and ensures technical quality of the images.
- Enters and monitors patient data.
- Performs quality assurance on radiology equipment.
- May assist with initial and renewal application for ACR and other accreditation.
- Identifies and reports any accidents, complaints or equipment malfunction to department management.
- May administer breath alcohol test and/or urine drug screens.
- May be required to perform patient registration tasks such as verifying insurance, collecting payments, etc.
Shift:
2 week rotating shift- can pick up shifts or hit OT hoursWeekend Days:

Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat/ OFF- Sun, Weds, ThursLevel 1-2 Trauma experience1- 5 years experience as a Radiologic or X-ray TechGraduate of an accredited school of Radiologic TechnologyCurrent license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT)Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R)CPR OR Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Supportability to work in fast paced environment or trauma experience (highly preferred) Recommended Skills Advanced Life Support Cpr Imaging Quality Management Radiologic Technologist Trauma Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
