Summary:
Working as a team with the Finance and Administration staff, you will gain experience in one or more of the following areas:
Assists with special projects and other related duties as Developing and/or revising policies and Performance measurement and Use research and writing skills by studying an issue, recommending solutions and drafting a management Participate in the public process by attending city council workshops and meetings; bid openings, and staff Support Annual Budget process for division, departments and city Learn and understand how politics affect the operations of the PRINCIPAL DUTIES &
Responsibilities:

DUTIES1.
Participate in the public process; city council workshops, meetings, bid openings, staff meetings2.
Develop/revise policies & procedures and provide performance measures3.
Monthly revenue and expenditure review and reporting4.
Budget & finance support5.
Perform special projects6.
Perform all other related dutiesKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
1.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
2.
Able to work independently and collaboratively.
3.
Ability to read and understand manuals and updates regarding city and state regulations.
4.
Research articles and laws related municipal government (purchasing, information technology, fleet, accounting, budget, etc.
)5.
Identify and resolve variances.
6.
Ability to reconcile spreadsheets to source documents.
7.
Skill in operation of computers and mobile devices.
8.
Proficient in spreadsheet, word-processing, and presentation software.
9.
Ability to communicate with employees and management.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, & EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
1.
Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master's program in one of the following areas of study:
Business, Public Administration, Public Policy, Finance, Accounting, Economic Development, or a related program.
2.
Must provide and unofficial transcript and resume.
3.
Must work a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
